Google Earth no se inicia: información general
- Asegúrese de tener instalados los últimos controladores para su tarjeta gráfica. En el área de descarga de CHIP encontrará los últimos controladores para tarjetas gráficas NVIDIA y para chips AMD.
- Si está utilizando un escáner de virus o un firewall, desactívelo temporalmente e intente si Google Earth funcionará. Si es así, debe agregar una regla de excepción a su software de seguridad.
Prueba Google Earth en modo DirectX y OpenGL
Google Earth se puede iniciar en modo DirectX y OpenGL. Pruebe ambos modos para ver si se inicia el programa.
- Modo DirectX: abra el menú de inicio y seleccione "Todos los programas". Los usuarios de Windows 8 presionan la tecla de Windows y luego hacen clic en "Todas las aplicaciones". Busca la carpeta "Google Earth" y coloca el cursor sobre ella. Luego seleccione "Iniciar Google Earth en modo DirectX".

Google Earth: Borrar caché
También es posible que los archivos de caché del programa estén dañados y Google Earth no se inicie debido a esto. En este caso, debe eliminar los archivos de caché. Puede ser necesario hacer visibles los archivos previamente ocultos en Explorer.
- Abra el directorio "C: \ Users \ * Nombre de usuario * \ AppData \ Local \ Google \ GoogleEarth" en el Explorador de Windows. Si los archivos "dbCache.dat" y "dbCache.dat.index" están allí, elimínelos. Si hay un directorio en la carpeta con el nombre "unified_cache_leveldb_leveldb2", elimínelo también.
- Abra también el directorio "C: \ Users \ * Nombre de usuario * \ AppData \ LocalLow \ Google \ GoogleEarth" y elimine también los archivos "dbCache.dat" y "dbCache.dat.index". También se debe eliminar el directorio "unified_cache_leveldb_leveldb2".
Google Earth: eliminar el archivo Myplaces
Puede suceder que el archivo myplaces.kml esté dañado por Google Earth. En tal caso, Google Earth a menudo ya no se inicia. Elimine el archivo para que se cree automáticamente la próxima vez que se inicie.
- Abra el directorio "C: \ Usuario \ * Nombre de usuario * \ AppData \ Local \ Google \ GoogleEarth" o "C: \ Usuario \ * Nombre de usuario * \ AppData \ LocalLow \ Google \ GoogleEarth" en el Explorador de Windows. Allí eliminas el archivo myplaces.kml.
- Sin embargo, cuando elimina el archivo Myplaces, se pierden todas sus marcas de posición colocadas previamente. Si desea conservarlo, puede intentar usar el archivo de copia de seguridad. Para hacer esto, simplemente cambie el nombre de "myplaces.backup.kml" a "myplaces.kml".
Vuelva a instalar Google Earth
Si aún no puede iniciar Google Earth, debe reinstalar el software.
- Desinstala Google Earth con el Panel de control de Windows.
- Inicie Regedit y elimine la clave de registro "HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Google \ Google Earth", si existe. Lo mismo se aplica a la clave "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Google \ Google Earth".
