Bandas de frecuencia en teléfonos inteligentes: ¿qué es?
Al comprar un teléfono inteligente, a menudo encontrará declaraciones como "Admite las bandas de frecuencia LTE 3, 7 y 20" en la descripción. En la tecnología de radio móvil, se utilizan diferentes rangos de frecuencia para diferentes estándares de radio. En este artículo, explicamos de qué se tratan las bandas de frecuencia del teléfono inteligente.
Bandas de frecuencia en teléfonos inteligentes
Las bandas de frecuencia son en realidad rangos de frecuencia caracterizados por una longitud de onda inferior y superior: la frecuencia.
- La Unión Internacional de Telecomunicaciones (UIT) y la Comisión Federal de Comunicaciones (FCC) han dividido todo el rango de frecuencia de 3 Hz a 3 THz (3, 000, 000, 000 Hz) en bandas de frecuencia.
- La banda de frecuencia 9 incluye, por ejemplo, el rango de 300 MHz a 3 GHz.
- Las cintas individuales se dividen a su vez en cintas. Por ejemplo, hay bandas LTE.
- Se utilizan tres bandas LTE en Alemania. Banda 3 con un rango de frecuencia de alrededor de 1, 800 MHz, banda 7 alrededor de 2, 600 MHz y banda 20 alrededor de 800 MHz.
- Alternativamente, las bandas LTE se conocen como la serie 800 o simplemente como LTE 800, LTE 1, 800 y LTE 2, 600.
- Debido a que otras bandas de frecuencia se utilizan para la tecnología LTE en otros países, es importante qué bandas de frecuencia LTE son compatibles con qué teléfono inteligente.
- LTE 800 solo se usa en áreas rurales, LTE 1, 800 y 2, 600 se usan principalmente en ciudades.
- Telekom, Vodafone y O2 comparten la banda 800. Solo Telekom y Eplus usan la banda de 1, 800, los cuatro proveedores alemanes de telefonía móvil usan la banda de 2, 600.
- También se utilizan diferentes bandas de frecuencia para los estándares de radio móvil GSM (G), GPRS (2G), Edge (E) y UMTS (3G) en diferentes países, pero menos que con LTE. Sin embargo, es posible que no pueda usar un teléfono inteligente de los Estados Unidos en Alemania, por ejemplo. En Alemania se utiliza la llamada banda cuádruple.
- Un ejemplo: el iPad 3 está equipado con una antena LTE, pero solo admite las bandas 700 y 2.100 LTE. Esto significa que no puede usar LTE con el iPad 3 en Alemania.
